FIBA Europe, through an official letter addressed to the European National Federations of Participating Clubs in FEC 2015-2016, informed that BC Timisoara has withdrawn their participation in the FIBA Europe Cup competition 2015-2016.

In a letter addressed to FIBA Executive Director Europe Kamil Novak, the Romanian Basketball Federation explained that due to financial concerns, the club will not be able to compete. The withdrawal means that they will be replaced by the Slovenian club, Helios Suns Domzale who were the highest ranked team among the clubs left out of the 56 that were entered in the competition’s draw in August. Helios Suns Domzale will play in the Regular Season in Group I.

It should be noted that in FEC 2015-2016, will participate a team from Kosovo, the reigning champion of Kosovo, Sigal Prishtina, who will compete in Conference 2, in Group C, with Energia Targu Jiu (Romania), BC Astana (Kazakhstan) and AEK Larnaca (Cyprus).
