Kosovo started successfully the second phase of the European Championship U20, Division B. Kosovo defeated Romania in the first game of Group G, and now has two wins and one loss in this group.

In the game against Romania, Kosovo played well from the beginning of the game, created an 11 point lead but after two misses, the first quarter ended 16:16.

In the second quarter, Kosovo had a series of 9:0 and that helped to create a great lead which later turned out to be decisive for the outcome of the match. The first half ended 42:32 and the instructions of coach Selmani were to keep that lead and play without pressure in the second half.

While in the third quarter in 8 minutes 5 balls were lost, in the last quarter of the game our guys played better than their opponents and won 81:69. Samir Zekiqi scored 21 points, but had no rebounds in 35 minutes of game, whereas Arian Memeti and Leonard Mekaj who played for 40 minutes had a  'double-double' each - 15 points and 12 rebounds for Memeti and 20 points and 10 assists for Mekaj.

Kosovo has two days off and after will play against Austria. The game against Austria, and the game between Austria and Portugal will decide whether Kosovo will play for the 9th, 11th or 13th place.
